Invited by Duncan Whitley to spend a week at PVA Lab Culture alongside other musicians, I continued my exploration of composing with the environment, which I had begun during several residencies in Portugal, Switzerland, and Belgium. The piece you can listen to on this page was composed during walks through the Dorset countryside, which is fragmented by fences. It was performed in Bridport at the end of the residency and published online by DIVA Contemporary a few years later in a compilation entitled Releasing the Frozen Music.
