Promenade

Promenade is a sonic journey composed from recordings of two metallurgical factories, in my early days as a field recordist, already oriented toward the darkest areas of the sonic landscape. The raw recordings were rearranged—with minimal processing—to trace a new path, as much imaginary as documentary, through this environment. In this overdetermined yet chaotic context, the microphone searches for the musicality hidden behind the cyclical oppression of the machines.
