Melt* (1)

In 2020, Thomas Tilly and myself have created Radio Glaces, a (french-speaking) sound collection of 14 episodes mixing recordings of Alpine glaciers with accounts by people familiar with those environments: glaciologists, géomorphologists, mountain hut managers, alpinists and mountain guides.

Following this first project, Melt* was at first a performance series improvised from the sonic and vibrant matters collected on glaciers, in crevasses, bergschrunds and rivers of the Oisans mountains.

A result of this three-year research, the Melt* record is based upon a concert recorded at GMEA (Albi) in 2023. It was published by Fragment Editions at the end of the same year, and later awarded “international grand prize” by the Charles Cros Academy, experimental music category.
